Water Falling
Most of the time in a landscape photo, falling water involves a waterfall. But not always. Surf wells, sea stacks, lava shelves, cascades and rapids also create beautiful scenes of falling water. Most of the time I prefer long exposures that smooth the flow into a sensuous ribbon that contrasts with the often rocky path that guides the flow. Varying the exposure time allows the photographer to "dial in" the amount of water texture to suit the scene [click/touch center for captions]
